About Making Space
Making Space is about creating the inner room for your true Self to lead, rather than being dominated by the parts of you that carry pain, fear, or self-criticism. In Internal Family Systems (IFS), we believe that when we create more space for our Self, we can respond to life from a place of clarity and calm, rather than reacting from old emotional wounds. Trauma often limits our response flexibility, keeping us trapped in automatic, reactive patterns driven by protective parts. By unburdening these parts from the pain they carry, we increase our capacity to pause and choose how we respond, opening the door to greater freedom, self-compassion, and authenticity.

The Power of Space in Healing
As Viktor Frankl said, "Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." At Making Space Therapy, the aim is to help you find and expand that space — the space where you can pause, reflect, and choose a new way of being, guided by your authentic Self. Trauma can narrow this space, but through IFS, we work to unburden and heal parts of you that have been carrying the weight of past pain, allowing for greater flexibility in how you respond to life.

Why "Making Space"?
Choosing therapy is a conscious and active decision to make room for healing. When we create space within, we give ourselves the opportunity to unburden parts of ourselves weighed down by trauma, clearing out emotional clutter and making room for what truly matters. This process allows more freedom to be your most authentic, self-led self — not driven by reactive parts, but led by the calm, curious, and compassionate Self within.

Empowerment Through Self-Leadership
At Making Space Therapy, you're invited to take an empowering step toward healing, growth, and becoming the version of yourself you've always known you could be. This is about giving yourself the room to breathe, heal, and thrive. The more space you make for Self, the more freedom you have to lead your life with clarity, compassion, and courage.
